Booking Session Information
Availability:
In-studio photo sessions are scheduled during late afternoon hours during the week or on Saturdays & Sundays. Outdoor photo sessions can be scheduled weeknights & weekends. During the Spring & Summer photo sessions are best done in the early evening hours (5:30pm & on) since that is when the lighting is at its best for your photos. During the Fall season, sessions can be booked earlier to achieve the best lighting (3pm & on). We travel to any outdoor location for photo sessions, but if it is not within a 25 mile radius, a travel fee will be applied.

Newborn Sessions:
Newborn sessions are done in the studio and are scheduled when the newborn is 2 weeks old & under . They are usually scheduled earlier in the day . These sessions can typically take up to 3 hours, so please plan accordingly. It is recommended that siblings of the newborn do not attend these sessions as they are long & time consuming (although they are welcome at the beginning of the session if they are to be included in some of the photos with the newborn). You will have your choice of our many props & backdrops for these sessions. We also have plenty of newborn photo attire for you to choose from which include tutus, hats, headbands, wraps, diaper covers, ties etc.
Children/Baby Sessions:
Child/Children and baby photos sessions are done in the studio or outdoors, whichever you prefer. We have plenty of backdrops and props for you to choose from in the studio if you wish. Also, please feel free to bring 2 or 3 different outfits to the session for your child to change into if you choose. Outdoor sessions are done on-location at the place of your choice. If you would like us to recommend a location to you, we would be happy to do so. For best results, outdoor photos in the Spring & Summer should be taken in the early evening hours (5:30pm & on), that is when the outdoor lighting is at its best for your photos. During the Fall, season, outdoor sessions can be done earlier (3pm & on) to achieve the best lighting.
Family Sessions:
Family sessions are typically done outdoors due to limited studio space. So if you are interested in scheduling a session for your entire family (4 or more people), please make sure you do so in the season you would most prefer. We will travel to the location of your choice, or we can recommend a location to you if you wish.
Cake Smash Photo Sessions:
Birthday "Cake Smash" photos are done in the studio for 1yr olds & 2yr olds. We will coordinate the theme or colors with the cake and what your child will be wearing for these photos. We have plenty of props for these sessions that you can choose from such as banners, cake stands, hats, diaper covers, tutus, ties etc. You can bring your own birthday cake or if you would like us to supply the cake, we will do so for an additional fee. Cake Smash photos can also be included in your child's regular portrait session, these photos would be taken last due to the fact that it can get pretty messy.
Senior Portrait Sessions:
Senior Portraits can be done indoor or outdoors. We are willing to accommodate whatever you are looking for for these types of photos, so please contact us if you have any questions. Seniors are welcome to bring 2 to 3 changes of clothing for these sessions and any sports related props or musical instruments if they wish.
Couples & Engagement Sessions:
Couple and Engagement sessions are done outdoors at the location or locations of your choice. We can also recommend locations to you if you wish. Couples are welcome to bring 2 changes of clothing if they would like to these sessions.

What is included in a Session/Sitting Fee?
Session/Sitting fees do NOT include any images, prints, CDs or digital negatives. These all must be purchased separately. The Session/Sitting fee includes the photographer's time, travel (if applicable), post session editing of your photos, an online gallery, and order preparation and fulfillment. Orders are typically complete within 2 to 3 weeks and that is when approximately 25 to 30 of the best edited images from your session will be uploaded to an online gallery on this website for viewing and purchasing.
Michelle Wetzel Photography does NOT make a commission off of any prints at this time. All print prices are set at a "base price" to make it as inexpensive for the client as possible. If you wish to purchase your final edited images on a CD or purchase the downloads you may also do so by contacting Michelle Wetzel Photography once your photos have been completed.
